Epsom 5xi 5 – Horley 2xi 0
Bolstered by a couple of old blokes from the Vagabonds the famous fives cruised to a comfortable win on Saturday. Horley competed well but were never a match for the firepower of Carlos and the forwards or the stoic defending of Nick and the defence. An early goal from Jon Moulam (the older of the two old blokes but not that you’d know!) set us on the right path and some solid midfield work from MOTM Ross enabled the lead to be increased soon after which gave us the confidence to go forward and further goals from put us in an unassailable positon. The captain’s reverse stick slap shot into the bottom right hand corner was the pick of the goals, TFC awared to the other old bloke whose silky skills were sadly missing on the day. I’ll skulk back to the Vagabonds and hide in a corner somewhere !
The 5’s are now challenging for a top 4 place in the league.
