Goalkeepers

Goalkeeper training at Epsom Hockey Club is offered every week with professional coaches. The Club welcomes the return of current Welsh international Rose Thomas for the 2022-23 season. Rose will coach on a Thursday evening at Old Schools Lane starting with a session for the juniors from 6.30pm, and adults from 8pm (alternate weeks for men and women – members check teamo).

Rose has amassed over 75 caps for Wales and has represented Great Britain four times since her senior international debut in 2011. Rose’s talent has been recognised at elite level having been awarded Best Goalkeeper in the 2016 FIH World Hockey League and most recently at the 2019 FIH Series Finals.

Most recently, Rose represented Wales at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham 2022 and was crowned goalkeeper of the tournament during the World Cup Qualifiers tournament in Pisa in October 2021.

The Club are extremely pleased to welcome Rose back to the coaching team. We look forward to seeing our goalies attend these special sessions this season and beyond!
