The ladies section took centre stage playing the first league fixtures on our new home pitch at Old Schools Lane last weekend.
Our L2s entertained Old Georgians L1s in the early push back in Surrey’s top division. A hard fought game with lots of action and plenty of opportunities ended in a narrow 1-0 defeat by the newly promoted side.
Hot on their heels the L5s welcomed Croydon and Whitgiftian L2s to our new hockey home. Keen to impress and get a postitive result, the game ended in a 1-1 draw.
The L1s opened their 2018-19 campaign in South Div 2 against PHC Chiswick L1s. New captain Jude broke the deadlock deep into the second half. Chiswick fought back and equalised from a short corner, but the determination of our ladies shone through the rain clouds, ending the match as 2-1 winners.
On Sundaythe juniors took to the field. Another wet day but with goals a plenty. Fantastic 5-0 wins for both the U16s and U12s and a 6-1 win for the U12Ds.
