At Epsom Hockey Club we like to play hard and party harder, both on and off the pitch. We run a number of social events throughout the season which cater for all, and with 14 teams playing most Saturdays you’re sure to find a thriving clubhouse on match days.
Our first social for 2023-24 season is a Club Day on 2 September which will include hockey at Old Schools Lane and refreshments at the Clubhouse. Details for this and upcoming events will be available on teamo as soon as possible.
BEER & GIN FESTIVAL – SATURDAY 12 FEBRUARY
Venue: The Clubhouse
Time: From 6.30pm
Tickets – purchase via teamo app
Adult event entry: £10 (inc. x1 beer/cider/soft drink and x1 burger/sausage/veggie)
Drinks token: £10 for 6 tokens (beer/cider = 2 tokens, premium gin/tonic =3 tokens)
U18 event entry: £7.50 (inc. x1 soft drink and x1 burger/sausage/veggie)
Additional food and tokens available to purchase on the night.
NB. the Clubhouse is a cashless venue. Payment by card only.
We hope to be able to open the Clubhouse on the Sunday 13 Feb to invite members to watch the Six Nations and purchase any left over Beer & Gin Festival drinks.
Emma Williams – Events Officer
Emma has stepped up to join the committee as our Events & Sponsorship officer. Fairly new to the Club (and hockey) she is our L6s goalkeeper. Before finding hockey she has put in some serious hours as a rower, triathlete and cyclist. Full of ideas she will be looking for helpers across the Club, creating an amazing social team to coordinate some fantastic socials and fundraising events. Centenary Season
Epsom Hockey Club is 100 years old in 2022! To celebrate our centenary we intend to hold a series of events from this September through to 2023, some formal and some just for fun, tailored and catered to suit all our members, present and past.l
First up, Saturday 03 September is the Centenary Dinner & Dance at Tyrells Wood Golf Club. Limited to 120 guests, please update your interest on teamo.
Other events for 2023 are still in the planning phases but in the pipeline are a potential Cocktail & Canapé evening and a larger scale (higher ticket price) Spring/Summer Centenary Ball. It would be helpful to test the popularity of these types of events and gauge interest. If they sound like ones you’d like to attend then, again, please let Emma know.
Over the last century the work of a huge number of amazing volunteers has made the Club what it is and continues to be today. You’ll appreciate that events like these don’t happen by themselves.
