A hard fought game today under the lights at Old Schools Lane.
Fleet came close to opening the scoring hut were denied by a great stick save from Cornelius diverting the ball past the post.
Epsom opened the scoring midway through the first half with Leo setting up Cyril for the first goal. This was followed shortly after with Bertie converting a penalty corner (one of many this season).
The 2 goal lead at half time slightly flattered Epsom in what was an even game with chances being missed at both ends.
After the break Fleet pulled back to 2-1 before Oli confidently struck a good third to restore the 2 goal lead. However this was shortlived as Fleet pulled back to 3-2.
Into the final 10 and Epsom finished a good move with Leo's second assist for Bertie's second goal of the game.
Fleet pulled back to 4-3 in the final minutes but ultimately couldn't catch Epsom for a share of the points.
A good win but always room for improvement.
