Walking Hockey
Walking hockey is perfect for anyone looking for a social and less physically demanding way to get active, no matter your age or skill level!
It's a low intensity activity that people can take at their own pace. It's suitable for those who have played before and those who may be picking up a stick for the first time.
As well as the health benefits, a walking hockey session is a great way to meet new people, socialise, build confidence and take part in a team sport.
Since starting in 2018 walking hockey at Epsom Hockey Club has proved very popular with plenty of regular attendees. We welcome new members at any time of year. Get in touch!
JOIN US...
Come and join us at Old Schools Lane in Ewell every Thursday from 10.00-11.00am. Each session costs £3.50 per person plus a seasonal membership fee of £35. Don't have a stick? No problem, we have one you can borrow.
The sessions operate as a 10-12 week block. They are led by Emma (Spuggie) and Penny (Woodsie). Remember to bring your mug and a 50p contribution if you’re able to stay for a hot drink, biscuit and natter after the session.
For more information or to find out more about coming along for a trial session, please contact Penny Woods using the link at the bottom of this page.
Our You Tube Channel has a series of episodes available to watch.
WALKING HOCKEY @ HOME
During 2020 our members were kept busy at home thanks to a series of drills and skills provided by Barry. These are available on our YouTube channel for anyone who is unable to make it to the pitch.
To watch the episodes simply click through here (opens in a new tab). We would of course like to see you at the pitch where possible!
We will do our best to get back to you as soon as possible.
