Weekend Highlights 01/02 Feb 2025

A frosty weekend with a programme of league and cup fixtures and a few postponements.

The Girls U14 started the weekend's fixtures with a resounding 7-0 win over Brighton and Hove on Friday evening in the England Hockey Junior Girls Cup.

Wins followed on Saturday for the Mens 1s, 3s, 5s, Mavericks and 7s, Womens 2s and 5s.

Saturday saw U16s Jack Turnbull making an assured debut for the Mens 1s followed on Sunday by dad Steve trying to steal the limelight by scoring 5 in the Mens O45A 11-2 win over Haslemere in the EH Masters Cup. Congrats to both.

The Mens O45B also progressed with a 5-2 win over Fleet and Ewshot.

The mixed team had a good 3-1 win over Staines in the EH Mixed Tier 1 Cup with goals from Abby Skinner(2) and Tom Smith.
