Additional Junior Coaching

Additional junior coaching is available at Epsom Hockey Club in association with Step Change Coaching.

Identifying an opportunity to help develop individual players, the team provide 1:1 and small group hockey coaching (1:5 maximum). Sessions are based at Old Schools Lane, the home of Epsom Hockey Club.

The team of experienced coaches will work with you to design a personal programme suited to your hockey needs. In conclusion, just let them know what you would like to work on! Below are the bios and 1:1 session prices for each of the coaches. For every extra player it is £10pp.

INTRODUCING STEP CHANGE COACHING

Co-founders and regular faces at Old Schools Lane, Tom Smith and James Earl-King created Step Change Coaching to provide participants of all abilities an opportunity to improve their fundamental basic hockey skills.

“We chose our name as we believe it means a significant change in attitude or skill, especially which results in a definite improvement. We took some inspiration from Abhishek Ratna who said: “a gap in skills and abilities reveals a golden opportunity.” We as a coaching provider want to bring about that golden opportunity for you.

The aim of our coaching is for participants to learn individual and team-based skills, tactics, and strategies. All of this played in a fun game orientated and safe environment. Above all, our principle coaching focus is the pivotal emphasis on ‘mastering’ the fundamental basics in a dynamic environment.
