U12 Boys vs Surrey Plate

Congratulations to the U12 Boys who played in the Surrey Plate today.

(L to R) Encoh Ng, Ellis Mills, Ben Rigby, Johnny Harris, Sam Quirke, Will Kirk, Bjorn Barkley, Rory Burkett and Leo White.

A great all round team performance.

Despite a willing volunteer, the team played without a goalkeeper and would have progressed to the semi final had they won their last group match.

Epsom 2 - 0 Woking

2 goals for Leo White from right midfield along with a shuffle brilliantly defended by Will Kirk.

Epsom 1 - 0 Old Georgians

A hard fought game with the only goal coming from a Ben Rigby shuffle. A great goal line clearance from Sam Quirke to ensure the win.

Epsom 1 Oxted 2

A hard fought game with featuring another Ben Rigby shuffle, but proved difficult to keep the eventual runners up from scoring into an empty net..

Epsom 1 Guildford 1

Another tough game which Epsom created chances to win. Another Leo White goal helped us to a share of the points but we lost Ellis Mills to an injured foot following a timely (but unfortunate for him) block of a very strong shot.

Epsom 1 Reigate 3

The winner of this would move forward to the semi finals.

Epsom went behind but drew level with Ben's 3rd successful shuffle to maintain his 100% record on the day.

However, again it proved difficult to hold out a strong opposition without the backup of a goalkeeper.

A good day and all of the boys played really well and should be proud. Hopefully all of the parents are back home and warm again and hoping to see Ellis back in action soon.
